𝘼 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙧’𝙨 𝟭𝟬 𝙦𝙪𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙡𝙚 𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙠𝙚𝙣 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩

A good leader is one half of a company’s success. Certainly, his reputation influences the enterprise’s reputation. But what should he be? Let’s leave aside sheer competencies. Better consider something of the same importance but seldom mentioned.

𝗔𝗱𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗺. Self confidence is always good. Groundless arrogance is always a matter of a psychotherapist. Inadequate manager will both harm himself and ruin the company.

𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲. A tyrant manager is a pretty common thing. Still you’ll never find those at really advanced companies. A good leader has no moral authority to rely on his own subjective assessments. Especially towards his employees.

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆. Indeed, not all innovations can be better than well-established and proven things. And not always. At the same time it’s unwise to refrain from something new.

𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲. Risk is noble. Just in case it is motivated by emotional impulse.

𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲. A leader whose plans are bad weather dependent can’t be respected for among his employees. Neither a company under his guidance is going to live long.

𝗦𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘆. Definitely, seriousness is essential. Meanwhile, if a person can’t accept humor and make fun of himself it smells a trouble.

𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀. A robot effectively copes with routine. But people must be run by a human being. So he should possess humanity. Otherwise, he won’t win the credibility that can affect performance.

𝗟𝗼𝘆𝗮𝗹𝘁𝘆. It’s like presumption of innocence. Just with a couple of chances to improve. Because masters are not born. While to discourage is as easy as a pie.

𝗔𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀. This is the most vital quality for everybody. It relates basically to everything around. Starting from operational issues to the employees’ mood.

𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺𝗮. No one knows how it works. But charismatic people are attractive. It helps to bring together and surround oneself with a devoted team, to inspire it for real feats.

As you can see, being a good leader is not easy at all. That is normal. Otherwise, everyone could be him.

𝘖𝘶𝘳 𝘣𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘸𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘩𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘣𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘶𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶!
